Joy Shannon is now the music editor for the OC Art Blog. She has conducted interviews with Mikeal Akerfledt from the Swedish metal band Opeth, the artist and musician John Dyer Baizley from the heavy metal band Baroness, the LA avant garde band Nostalghia, and Alex Staropoli from the Italian symphonic metal band Rhapsody of Fire. Additionally, Joy has reviewed live shows including Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, M. Ward, Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s, among others.
